Ferti-lome Caterpillar Killer with Bt is an easy-to-mix liquid concentrate. Caterpillar Killer with BT is a specialized biological insecticide designed to control caterpillar infestations in gardens and landscapes. The Bt in the name means, Bacillus thuringiensis (or Bt) and is a gram-positive, soil-dwelling bacterium, the most commonly used biological pesticide worldwide.
This insecticide Kills worms and caterpillar stage insects, and has no effect on birds, earthworms, or beneficial insects such as honeybees. It's safe to use on edible plants and can be used up to the day of harvest. its also OMRI listed and great for organic gardening.
Caterpillar Killer with Bt should be applied when worms or caterpillars are first noticed, then repeated at five (5) to seven (7) day intervals while they are active. Apply more frequently to control heavy infestations. Apply thoroughly to top and bottom of foliage. Reapply after heavy rains.
Caterpillar Killer with Bt must be eaten by worms or caterpillars to be effective. After ingesting the insecticide, they immediately stop feeding, though they may otherwise appear to be unaffected for several days. Make applications when worms are small. They must be actively feeding on treated, exposed foliage.
