Description
209 Systemic Pest Control approaches the problem of insect pest control by working within the plant itself. This unique organic formula contains rosmarinic acid, a derivative of the rosemary plant, that the plant will uptake and spread throughout its vascular system.
The presence of rosmarinic acid in the plant cells forms a barrier that insects find distasteful. Once a feeding insect comes in contact with the rosmarinic acid, they retreat and look for a more suitable food source. Contact with rosmarinic acid can be fatal depending on the size of the pest affected and that pest's maturity.
Key Features:
- Controls: spider mites, broad mites, russet mites, root aphids, gnat larvae, fungus gnats, white flies, cabbage maggots, and most boring insects.
-
Safe up to day of harvest when used as directed
- Can be used for organic production
- Safe around children & pets when used as directed
- Will protect all parts of the plants from a medley of insect attacks
- Join Sierra Natural Science in their mission to use less plastic! Refill pouches available for existing bottles.

Have a Question?
-
Can the 209 be used on Orchids, and if so can it be sprayed on the flower spikes without damaging them?
We reached out to the manufacturer of this product to find an accurate answer. This is what they instructed:
" Watering in 209 will help. Spraying has been known to work as well, but we always recommend testing a small area/spot. If no damage, which is what we'd expect, then try a larger area. Repeat.Thank you for using our products."

Once you’ve opened a bottle of concentrate how long is the bottle good for
We have received word from the manufacturer that each bottle lasts 2 years from the date related to the code on the bottle. As long as the product has the cap on it and remains in a cool and dry place, it can last years.
