Fire ants seek out this Advion Fire Ant Bait like food. The formulation is designed specifically to be attractive to fire ants. They will actively seek it out and bring it back to the entire colony to eat (including the queen) for total colony control. 

When it’s dry and hot, fire ants move deeper into the soil to find cooler temperatures and water. The most commonly used insecticide product does not effectively penetrate the soil. With Advion Fire Ant Bait, ants will forage for it and bring it back down to the colony.

There is no need to water Advion Fire Ant Bait. Other commonly used insecticides need to be watered in to become effective. This step isn’t necessary with Advion Fire Ant Bait. In fact, it works best if no water is present.
